Advanced Engineering: Robotics is a new 14-week afterschool class offered in the Spring semesters for 4th & 5th graders. Students will use VEX IQ kits to learn to create drivetrains, gear ratios, mechanical arms and more in order to design and build a robot, in collaboration with a team, to participate in an in-house robotics tournament.

Club Skills and Frills for Grades 2-5
Club Skills & Frills tackles fun, crafty projects aimed at teaching kids lots of handy skills, like how to operate a drill, use a sewing machine or follow a recipe. Each semester, we take on several cool projects and make lots of unique items. From making cool signs or decorating cupcakes to creating personalized t-shirts or building PVC pipe projects, Club Skills & Frills is a great program for boys and girls who love hands-on craft projects. Projects are tailored to each child’s age, comfort level and personal taste.

Cobb Soccer Academy for Grades K-2 and 3-5
Cobb Soccer Academy is designed for soccer players of all levels and abilities. The academy will be centered around developing players according to their stage of development and offering hands-on training. Sessions will focus on teaching technical skills such as moves, dribbling, passing, receiving, and shooting. The focus will also be on teaching the attacking and defending principles of play. Grades K-2 and Grades 3-5 will meet as separate classes with separate instructors.

DreamWeaver Dance for Grades K-5 
JJoin DDC for spring semester and perform in our annual show at KSU! Dancers will learn and build on basic fundamentals of jazz and hip hop and prepare to take the stage in May at our annual show entitled: GLOW! Your fee includes a t-shirt to wear to class, a designer costume for recital, tights and all costume accessories, a trophy, and a digital video of this year’s show. Dancers will need to purchase black leggings, tan jazz shoes, and black and white converse (or converse style) sneakers for class each week.

We'll also go on hikes and play in the creek :-)

• Aid Communities: Program robotic devices to deliver medicine, lift fallen trees, and clear roadways.

Spanish Club for Grades K-5
We are thrilled to continue our Spanish enrichment after-school program! We are a well-established, Cobb County foreign language enrichment program. Classes are taught by creative and enthusiastic Spanish teachers. We give the children useful vocabulary words in different units, and we help them learn these words by practicing them in different activities and games. The goal is to help children gain an enthusiasm and appreciation for learning Spanish as a second language and to provide a strong vocabulary base to prepare them for Spanish in middle school. Children previously enrolled in the program will be introduced to new content and challenged with a new curriculum. We provide needed materials and supplies for all students.

Tiger Beats, Jr. is a percussion class for 1st and 2nd graders. Students will develop skills for a variety of accessory percussion instruments, drums, xylophones and even bucket drums! Tiger Publishing for Grades 4-5 with Mrs. Pascual*
Tiger Publishing is a FAST class for fourth and fifth graders spanning 24 weeks during the fall and spring semesters. Students will meet each week to take part in creating Tritt's 2022-2023 yearbook by taking photographs of events, interviewing students for stories, creating quotes and polls, assisting in planning the overall design of the yearbook, marketing it for profitability, and managing its distribution. This experience will allow for opportunities of leadership, teamwork, and creativity across grade levels. Additionally, students will have opportunities to work with experts in the STEAM fields of photography, graphic design, digital layout, copyrighting, and marketing. Fee includes a Tritt yearbook and yearbook t-shirt.
